UFC Vegas 57: Prospects to watch out in this fight card
UFC Fight Night is set to take place on sat, Jun 25 at UFC APEX, Nevada. The main event of this fight night is the lightweight bout between Arman Tsarukyan and Mateusz Gamrot. In the co-main event, Neil Magny will fight Shavkat Rakhmonov in the welterweight bout. The main card is also featuring the bantamweight bout between Nate Maness and Umar Nurmagomedov. There are a lot of excitement and anticipation in the MMA community regarding this fight card because of the excited matchups and potential prospects that are competing on this weekend. There are few prospects to look out for on this fight card:
Arman Tsarukyan
Arman Tsarukyan is ranked 11th in lightweight division right now, and this will be his first main event in UFC. He is considered as one of the biggest prospects in the lightweight division and the future of the company. He is only 25 years old, which is very young for the division, but he is far more experienced and skilled as compared to his age. At such young age, he already has 20 professional MMA bouts and 18 wins, he is on 5 fights winning streak in the UFC. His only loss was against Islam Makhachev at his debut back in 2019, and Islam Makhachev is considered as one of the best fighters in this division. After that he beat Oliver Aubin-Mercier, Davi Ramos, Matt frevola, Christos Giagos, and Joel Alvarez in very dominant fashion.
Arman is fighting Mateusz Gamrot this weekend, and it will be the toughest challenge of his career. If he beats Gamrot on Saturday, he will enter into the top 10 of this division. MMA fans believe that he will be a potential Champion or Contender in the near future because of his talent and skill sets. Arman Tsarukyan is exceptional wrestler and grappler, his striking is also very top notch he is very well rounded fighter and big problem for all the top fighter of the division.
Mateusz Gamrot
Mateusz Gamrot is ranked no 12th right now in the lightweight division, and this main event is his chance to put himself in the top 10. Gamrot is another prospect with a lot of potential and hype behind him; he has fought 21 professional MMA bouts and won 20 fights. He is on a 3 fight winning streak in the UFC; he has finished all of his last 3 opponents and looked incredibly dominant doing that.
Mateusz Gamrot is also an elite grappler, but he also possesses a lot of power in his striking. He is very well rounded fighter with plenty of experience; he lost in his debut against another prospect Guram Kutateladze in a split decision and after that he finished Scott Holtzman, Jeremy Stephens and Diego Ferreira. He is fighting Arman Tsarukyan, and this bout will decide his position in the division. This fight is expected to be the best fight of the card because of the fun matchup between two highly talented prospects of the division.
Shavkat Rakhmonov
Shavkat Rakhmonov is the most highly touted prospect in the UFC right now; he is ranked no 15th in the welterweight division. Shavkat Rakhmonov is a 27 year old fighter from Kazakhstan; he is a phenomenal fighter with the record of 15 wins 0 losses. Rakhmonov has the 100% finish rate; he is highly skilled Mixed Martial Artist with elite striking and wrestling. He is very long for this division and he used his reach exceptionally well, Shavkat has great distance management and killer instinct that’s why he is fan favorite.
MMA fans believe that he will be a welterweight Champion in the near future. Shavkat is considered as the top quality fighter, and his fighting style will give a lot of problems to all the fighters in top 10. Rakhmonov will face Neil Magny this weekend, which is a very tough fight for him; Magny will test Shavkat takedown defense and wrestling. If Rakhmonov win this fight his career will be catapulted to the sky and he will probably enter into the top 10 of the division.
Umar Nurmagomedov
Umar Nurmagomedov is fighting Nate Maness on this card; he is another highly touted prospect coming from Dagestan, Russia. Umar is 26 years old; he is the student of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov (late) and cousin of former UFC Light Champion and UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov. Umar Nurmagomedov has the record of 14 wins and 0 losses; he has won both of his UFC bouts with the impressive finishes.
Umar is still unranked in the UFC; if he wins this fight, he will probably earn a spot in the top 15 of the bantamweight division. Umar is a very skilled fighter with elite wresting and grappling; he is also known for his quick and sneaky kick, he can throw kicks from all the angles with emphatic speed and catch his opponents by surprise. He already has a lot of hype behind him because of the word “Nurmagomedov” in his name, so far he has lived up to that hype but this fight will be the biggest test of his career.
